The "Schnitzer" started life as a 2006 BMW K1200R. Then Dave added the Schnitzer Kit giving it more horse power and many other goodies. Check out the real Aligator seat.
Our early arrival Friday afternoon after setting up Dave's BMW "Schnitzer" for display.
This is what I would buy if I were looking for a new trail DS bike. I didn't see anything even close to this KTM 530EXC. For a street legal trail machine, this is it guys. A bit spendy however.
BMW's new F800GS.
I liked the look of the BMW 450, light, and very clean.
BMW's new 450 dirt bike. Made to compete with the Katooms I think.
KLX 250S in red paint.
The KLX 250S looked good. But sadly to tall for Sylvia and any other inseam challenged person.
This is about it for short legs. The Yamaha XT250 is new this year but quite simular to the old XT 225. They added a disk brake to the rear and looks like a plastic tank.
Our Polar Bear trail ride for New Years Day. Lots of snow in the Tahuya. Most of the main trails were closed so we went to Lan's Secret Forest. Tod and Jon getting ready after parking along the ____ road.
Wild Bill getting ready.
Tod's new CRF 250R. This was Tod's first time in the really tough stuff and he did great. The snow made it more challenging then ever. We were breaking ice in the puddles and fighting deep and narrow snow banks all day.
Jon inches his bike down the gouged out trail wondering if this is a good idea. We may have to turn around and come back up this mess.
This trail had become a river during the flood so it was full of washouts and rocks.
Things got better after a few hundred feet of this. We'll be back with some picks and shovels to fix the trail.
