Day 1, Saturday, March 13th, we drove to the KLAMOYA Casino near Klamath Falls, OR. We put 2314 miles on the motor home during the entire journey.
Day 2, Sunday morning. We awoke with frost on everything.
Poor bikes, covered with frost
We had the inside tire blowout and the fiberglass panel behind the left dual was a bit worse for wear.
Somewhere in Nevada
Walker Lake Nevada
Day 3, Monday. Entering the Park from Beatty, NV
Our first guest Monday was this little "Road Runner", meep meep
He came around almost everyday, usually with a buddy. We, of course, ignored the park rules and gave them something good to eat... way too many rules in the National Parks for us!... but it was sure fun ignoring them!
First thing the gang wanted to ride was Echo Canyon. So we followed along. Here is Paul in Echo Canyon.
Super Syl on her little XT225
We rode up about 4 or 5 miles into the canyon and it got pretty technical.
Sylvia and I turned around to look for something more fun to ride.
Rob broke his foot peg in Echo Canyon. Mark's KLR's also took some damage. Not a good begining.
Twenty Mule Team Canyon, 5 miles long. This was a great road and worth doing several times. It had a one way direction so you didn't have to worry about oncoming traffic
Echo Canyon is in the upper right of the map & Twenty Mule is where it says "One Way'. We continued Southeast to Dantes View in the lower right, then off the map on the Greenwater Valley road.
The road up here.
The Badwater Road over 5000' below and one mile away.
Sylvia and I continue our loop South.
Gold Canyon off the Badwater Road.
Amazing VW bus in the parking lot.
Film crew from the "Travel Channel". Sylvia getting all the info on what they were doing down here. We rode from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm and logged 136 miles.
